Last month, in their second year, Launch brokers formed part of the 14 riders in ‘Team Finance Brokers’ who challenged themselves to make a difference, riding 215km from Optus Stadium in Perth to Mandurah and back the next day. ‘MACA Cancer 200 Ride for Research’ is a heart-warming and exciting charity event that is run to the highest standards – an absolute joy to be a part of.
There were many highlights and emotional moments from the official opening day through to the finish line. The start was an incredible experience, over 1000 riders being sent off on their journey to the tune of the bag pipes played by the Scotch College Pipe Band.
It was very hot conditions on the 2nd day, the team faced very strong headwinds particularly from Mandurah to Fremantle however spirits remained high and they persevered through to a proud finish.
Our sincere thoughts are with those who are currently battling to fight this devastating disease and many thousands of loved ones who have been affected.
